Our blog post from Tuesday shared the Stories from Syrian Refugees site. Through platforms like these, refugees have a chance to tell their stories, putting a face to an international crisis that is often hard to comprehend for those who are not living it. By sharing their stories, refugees can bring awareness to their situation, educate others about the plight of refugees and encourage aid and participation.

Iraqi Refugee Stories is another compelling site sharing this mission. The site brings additional context through interactive maps and background information about refugees fleeing from Iraq.

Video interviews with various refugees show the many ways war and conflict have affected the lives of Iraqis and their families. These accounts of religious persecution, murder, torture, death threats and separation are just a few of the thousands of stories refugees have to tell. Watch their stories at iraqirefugeestories.org.
